Great post, great ideas. I would love to see more churches adopt this attitude and help the families to emrace and lead their families!Reneenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8924327700647135447.post-11574624913432162402008-07-27T05:11:01.000-07:002008-07-27T05:11:01.000-07:00What a great church, Jessica! We provide a great children's program for the elementary aged kids during our services, but you are right, there is much to say about "having" to sit in church with the adults. This summer we don't have a program for the 3rd graders and up, so the are sitting up in service with us. I am trying to train Ben to be respectful during the service and stand up while we sing, sit up when we are sitting. I'm really frustrated with how difficult this is...you'd think we never provided any discipline or behavior guidelines for him with the way he is acting. Next Sunday I will be more intentional about getting Ben to focus on the sermon using some of your ideas!

You are going to be an awesome mom!!!!!!!Alanenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8924327700647135447.post-77650777823383734992008-07-28T01:11:59.000-07:002008-07-28T01:11:59.000-07:00Excellent post! I still get tears in my eyes sometimes when I look around and see the little ones with their hands raised during the Doxology or Gloria Patria. Such a beautiful sight!Brinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8924327700647135447.post-55714820041762885342008-08-26T07:38:50.000-07:002008-08-26T07:38:50.000-07:00I agree - the babies starting right from the get g...I agree - the babies starting right from the get go raising those little hands. Precious! The first song in English the boys heard was the Gloria Patri - I'd sing it to them when ever I had to restrain them. The first Sunday we took them to church their eyes lit up when they recognized the song. When they joined in singing I had to work really hard to not fall apart!Qhttp://thebridledtongue.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.com
